Food Bank

  • Are currently coping well with community needs.
  • Our Food Bank is part of the Provincial association of food banks. As such, they have some funding trickling in from that organization.
  • They are also receiving food from local restaurants.
  • They will touch base with Bill again in a few months regarding their needs.
  • This leaves only the bike rack and museum ideas. Or we could “keep our powder dry” until we find a greater need in the community.

Rotary Signs (Pearson Centre)

  • The city was approached, and the question was asked: “What is to become of that sign?” Answer: Good question.
  • Prior to collapse of the building’s roof there was already some electronic issues that needed repair.

Bike Racks

  • We wish to carry forward with this project.
  • Need to check in with the city on this project to get the various sections to give input on placement etc.
  • Next step will be to get some pricing.
Jenna will remain arbiter of new ideas for this subject. If any Rotarians encounter any ideas that our club could focus our attention on, please contact Jenna.
Next week we will be conducting our bi-annual roadside clean-up. Details will be emailed to members.
