Foundation Month

  • November is Foundation Month.
  • Money raised through Foundation is used to assist in projects, both around the world and also here at home through district grants.

100 Elliot Lakers Who Care

  • We’ve started!
  • Emails have already gone out to our donor group.
  • Two persons have already signed up.
  • Forest Heard has been assisting with the production of ads. The first is already up and running via Facebook.
  • Promoting the idea of buying a vote for someone for Christmas.
  • The two donors who’ve already signed up have each paid via different methods, e-transfer and Square account. Both methods worked flawlessly.

Static Santa Clause Parade

  • Parade route has been filled.

District Grant(s)

  • Currently have two approved.
Bike Rack
  • Confirmed that our total budget is $2400.00.
  • District portion is 60 % ($1800.00), our portion is $800.00.
  • We are not required to contribute anything to this grant.
  • Our plan is to purchase PPE for local groups who may be in need.
  • We require someone to take the lead in this project to find out groups in the community who may be in need. eg. Food bank; Women’s Shelter; Men’s Shelter?
  • We have 6 months to spend the monies.

  • The last time we discussed this, there was not a lot of appetite for Bingo.
  • We didn’t participate in our usual ‘in person’ Bingo for the last quarter. Expectation is that the Bingo group will be approaching us to determine our intentions for the next quarter.
  • After a discussion amongst the group the conclusion was that, although there remains a desire to remain with the Bingo program moving forward, at this time due to pandemic and several members being out of town we would not participate for this coming quarter.
  • We will re-address this matter again for the following quarter.

  • Next meeting, we will have Emlyn Goulding making a presentation.

  • Are due!

Ad-hoc Committee

  • Brenda and Wayne working on finding officers for the 2021/2022 Rotary Year.

Happy Thoughts

Kim: Jingle in development for Emlyn’s business.
David: “The Near Hope BC Report”. Calling the west coast, a “rain forest” is accurate. No talk of divorce or murder after living in a trailer for a month.
Jenna: Purchased ski pass, anxiously awaiting skiable snow.
Bill: Received a call from Francois.
Brenda: Damage from water leak + industrial fans and dehumidifiers = New kitchen!
Gil: Son in law, while performing in BC had contact with COVID + individual. Has been tested and was negative.
