  • Bill Hagborn will be playing.
  • Lot’s of “Good vibes” are being sent our way.
  • Retirement Living will be sending one or two teams.
  • Dave suggests having a game set up at one of the holes to make it more difficult.
  • Next step will be in setting up the signs the night before the tournament.
  • Only one more meeting before the tournament.
  • Has anyone contacted Mrs Briffet?
    • She should at least be contacted to let her know that the event is taking place.
    • Brenda will call to let her know.

  • Nothing to report.
 

TV Bingo

  • This was discussed at the recent Director’s meeting.
  • The decision was made not to participate.
  • We will be taking a pause from in-person bingo this quarter.
  • We will also be forfeiting our Bingo responsibility for the September 11 date (We cannot find enough members to host).
  • We will have to have a discussion regarding our future involvement in Bingo (TV and in-person).
 

Multi-use Park

  • Shawn drafted a letter and was forwarded to Leonna Mattice expressing our support.
 

Bike Racks

  • Still awaiting a response for our grant application.
  • We should know by September 18th.
 

Highway Clean-up

  • September 29th will be our hwy clean-up day.
  • Meet at the No Frills parking lot between 17:15 and 17:30.
  • Depart for our starting locations at 17:30.
 

Virtual District Conference

  • The chair for this event is looking to have a recording of a student from each club singing Oh Canada.
  • The recordings will be used during the opening ceremonies.
 

District Governor

  • Any club members with “ambitions” to fill the position of District Governor for the 2023/2024 year should let themselves be known.
 

Club Dues

  • Are due.
  • Invoices will be sent out shortly.
  • We may be able to set-up to pay electronically with our square account.
  • Otherwise members can mail cheques to the club’s P.O. Box (The Rotary Club of Elliot Lake
    P.O. Box 111 Elliot Lake, Ontario P5A 2J6) or drop off at Gil’s house (203 Ottawa Ave.).

Dave: Leaving for Kelowna on Oct. 2 to assist son starting a business.
Kim: Received flowers from her sweetheart today. Obtained contract for her music business.
Wayne: Jennifer Jones from Windsor, nominated to be our RI President.
Brenda: My husband painted living room and kitchen over the weekend.
Gil: Secret farmer dropped off tomatoes.
Chris: Our garden is very fruitful this year.
